The city's Landmarks Preservation Commission said in an email to the Wall Street Journal that while the stadium has "some historic significance," it won't be considered for the landmarking process because of the "deteriorated state of the building's architectural features." The stadium has become run down and the estimated repair cost is around $15 million, which the club doesn?t want to spend. Stadium preservationists have vowed to fight on.?Matthew Cronin
